Curves Around the World #51 SEASONAL

This week I really wanted to take some lovely summery photos like this. I wasn't expecting sweltering weather  but I was expecting a pleasant day. No such luck. Rain and grey! So instead I am showing what I would be wearing if English weather played ball. We have had the odd day of lovely weather and a week or so ago it was gorgeous but alas back to grey! I actually don't mind it but makes things tough for this week!
plus size & curvy summer outfit of the day,  Joe Browns floral pink and red dress tunic,  Aldo bag, Mango sunglasses, gold beaten New Look earrings

On a breezy or not a boiling day I would add a cardigan (probably white, pink, green or red) or a denim jacket and for those chillier days or if you don't want to get your legs out-some leggings!

Leave me a comment and let me know if you love this outfit and give me a big woohoo for grey English weather!!

Now it's time to check out the other ladies in Curves Around the World to see what they came up with this week.....

Curves Around the World #49 STATEMENT BAG

Ladies, it's been a while since I posted, especially a proper post. I havn't done an OOTD or  an outfit post for months. Being in a cast and on crutches didn't lend itself to getting ready, taking photos and dressing up etc but it's time! Ironically though today the focus isn't the clothes, it's the accessory. As accessories go though, this one is a beaut and actually this certain category of accessory is my absolute favourite and I am a fiend for them.....
plus size & curvy outfit of the day featuring blue statement handbag & animal print
I've shown all the bits of this outfit before, bar the bag and trainers. It's a simple everyday go to easy outfit. The animal print makes it a tad more interesting but when you add the bag it just adds some oomph and fun. The colour is so amazing. It's love!
Top-George / Cardigan/Shrug-George / Jeggings-Matalan
Trainers- New Balance / Necklace-Matalan / Handbag-Dune/ Earrings- New Look /

(These shoes are the only ones I am allowed to wear since my surgery as they are so supportive and comfortable)
Statement Electric Blue Metal hardware Handbag by Dune
This bag by Dune was a present from my fiancee for my birthday. Can we please take a moment and congratulate him on not only the style but the fabulous colour?! The boy did good. Fact!
I didn't get to use it much before my surgery when I was either stuck inside or on crutches so handbag free so now I am using it all the time and it's perfect for summer being so bright and fun but still sophisticated and I love the metal hardware.
make up and face of the day
Up close and personal! You havn't seen this face in a while so there it is!
Minimal (and very speedy!) make up- L'oreal Volume Millions Mascara, Rimmel kohl eyeliner in the lower waterline, L'oreal Balmy Gloss Stick in Sin for Peach, Rimmel Wake me up Concealer (highlight and under eyes), Collection Lasting concealer (hardly any, just on one blemish), Collection bronzing pearls (very lightly on the cheeks only for some colour).

Do you like making a statement? Are you a handbag lover like me?

Primark 2014 Spring Summer Collection

Who doesn't love good old Primark, 'Primarni' if you will. Collections change quickly, it's cheap and most of us have a store pretty close by. The one annoying thing though is that they don't have a proper website where you can browse so ever the helpful girl that I am I found the best bits and I'm sharing with you all. I know, I know.....thank me later! Oh and you might want to thank a certain Mrs Clev as she requested some Primark action and what a lady requests, a lady gets!

This year Primark seems to all be about the prints and the colours. I walked in today and it was literally 'ba-bam' rainbow multicolour! This little bunch of goodies range from £4-£14 and are the serious goodies of the Summer 2014 Collection. You know the deal though, if you want anything, run like the wind to your nearest store and buy it before it's gone or before there is that one last solitary item in the wrong size left.....

You can see more of the collection here. Hands up who else loves Primark?

TOP 6 STATEMENT & COLOURFUL SUMMER SANDALS

If you are in the UK, you will no doubt have felt Summer well and truly arrive. I'm still only allowed to wear trainers (my trusty New Balance ones), but I am lusting after sandals. It's too hot for trainers and let's be honest it's pretty boring to only be able to wear one type of shoes and trainers don't look right with all outfits but I've been rocking them with everything. I cannot wait to be able to wear sandals!

These are my top 6 picks of colourful and statement sandals. Obviously summer is the best time to get colourful and why not make a statement? As most of you know I am a huge fan wearing simple classic outfits but adding interest with accessories, shoes etc.
colourful and statement summer sandals feat. Asos, New Look, Steve Madden, River Island -yellow, coral, multi colour, blue, animal print, stripe, lilac,  pink, embellished.
Top row-
Lilac is my favourite colour and pastel is big every summer but especially this year. These are simple, pretty and will go with most things. My second favourite of the 6.
These are simple in design but the 3 colours give that extra fun but nothing too out there.
LOVE these. My favourite of the 6. They are fun and different but still classic. The blue with the animal print really works and I have a handbag in the same blue also by Dune, so I think it was fate that these sandals need to be in my life!

Bottom row-
You can't go wrong with coral in summer and these will really show off a tan (if you actually get one unlike pale old me!). The colour says it all as the design is so simple.
I'm not usually one for yellow but if you are going to go for colour and statement, these are the sandals and I think these would look great with a simple outfit with these doing all the talking.
My 3rd favourite of the 6. These are simple in design and although they are multicoloured, the colours are muted and not too bright so if you aren't too sure on bright sandals, these would be great. The stripes are fab too and give these a little extra. They remind me of beach deck chairs!

How to easily Install Social Media Icons on Blogger Sidebar in 5 minutes!

If you are new to blogging or you want to update and improve your blog it can not only be time consuming but it can also be tricky, especially when HTML code is involved. Small improvements can make a big difference to the look and feel of your blog and improve readers experience. Adding social media is a great way of connecting with others, chatting and getting your blog out there.

I found this tutorial recently and thought it was just too good not to share. It makes adding social media icons just so quick and easy. No stressful moments of talking to your computer asking why it won't do what you want it to or worrying about messing around with HTML code and ruining what you've already created.

Follow this tutorial and you will be able to install social media icons on blogger the easy way in around 5 minutes. (Yes I said 5 minutes!)

Firstly you need to get some free social media icons. You can choose from over 125 styles here. Just pick the style and colour and download them.

Remember where to find them on your computer!

Then watch this video.....

Spring & Summer Nails

spring and summer nail varnish / polish ideas feat Barry M and Rimmel /  Pastels and brights
LEFT TO RIGHT
Barry M Cosmetics Gelly, Huckleberry  /  Barry M Nail Paint, 272 - Shocking Pink
Rimmel 60 Seconds Nail Polish Rose Libertine  /  Barry M Nail Paint - Berry Ice Cream (308)
Barry M Nail Paint - Cobalt Blue (291)

I am a nail varnish fiend. There I said it.
Phew.

Nail polish is cheap, easy accessible, and you really don't need to think about it when purchasing. I have a lot (too many!) and change my varnish up every couple of days.

I own and love all of the above colours. I wear colours like this all year round but these picks are definitely the spring/summer colours. Pastels and brights are the way to go for this time of year.

What's your favourite nail colour?
Are you a serious nail varnish lover like me?
